Role: Translational Data Scientist specializing in single-cell and spatial omics within AstraZeneca’s Immunology department, focusing on immune-mediated disease biology and therapeutic discovery. Responsibilities: lead analysis and integration of large-scale multimodal datasets—including single-cell transcriptomics, spatial omics, immune repertoire, and high-dimensional immune profiling; develop AI-driven approaches to identify disease mechanisms, biomarkers, therapeutic hypotheses, and patient subgroups; evaluate and implement AI/ML methodologies; communicate insights to cross-functional teams; support translational strategies from discovery through clinical development. Requirements: PhD in computational biology, bioinformatics, biostatistics, or related, with 6+ years’ experience; expertise in immunology, single-cell omics, spatial omics, immune repertoire analysis, and multimodal data integration; proficiency in Python, R, Linux, version control, and AI tools (e.g., large language models, deep learning frameworks); strong communication and collaboration skills; scientific independence and strategic judgment.
