Job Title: Associate Director – Technical Services/Manufacturing Science (TS/MS / MSAT)

Responsibilities:
- Support site leadership to build a diverse and capable TS/MS organization to operate the facility to the highest standards of excellence.
- Lead, develop and retain a high-performing team; foster technical excellence, curiosity, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Provide coaching, mentorship, and performance management to direct reports.
- Determine TS/MS staffing and resource needs to support process operations through facility startup, enabling successful process qualifications and validations.
- Support development and implementation of robust control strategies for regulatory compliance and operational excellence in a digitally native plant using lean principles.
- Review and approve documentation (procedures, deviation investigations, technical reports, change controls, qualification/validation protocols, and summary reports).
- Support the project team to deliver the facility to site leadership ready to operate and on schedule.

Basic Requirements:
- BS, MS, or PhD in biology, biochemistry, chemistry, chemical engineering, or related discipline; 5+ years biopharmaceutical industry experience.
- 3+ years in a people leadership role.
- Experience in GMP manufacturing operations and supporting regulatory inspections and audits.

Additional Skills/Preferences:
- Advanced degree (MS or PhD) preferred.
- Knowledge of biotech manufacturing processes, lab scale models, and unit operations; lab-scale and commercial-scale manufacturing.
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- Ability to work independently and as part of cross-functional process teams.
- Ability to respond quickly to changing priorities within limited timelines.

Additional Information:
- Travel possible but expected to be minimal.
- Monday–Friday onsite; flexibility for production schedules/shutdowns; occasional extended/off-hour work.

Compensation/Benefits:
- Anticipated wage: $123,000–$180,400.
