Job Title: Associate Director – Technical Services/Manufacturing Science (TS/MS / MSAT) - Analytical Support
Responsibilities
- Lead oversight of biological and bioconjugate manufacturing processes in collaboration with engineering, IT, operations, and quality.
- Support site leadership to build a capable TS/MS organization (capability, capacity, culture).
- Lead, develop, and retain a high-performing team; coach/mentor; manage performance.
- Determine TS/MS staffing and resource needs through facility startup for process qualifications/validations.
- Support development and implementation of robust control strategies for regulatory compliance and operational excellence in a digitally native plant.
- Review/approve procedures, deviation investigations, technical reports, change controls, qualification/validation protocols, and summary reports.
- Support project delivery so the facility is ready to operate and on schedule.
Basic Requirements
- BS/MS/PhD in biology, biochemistry, chemistry, chemical engineering, or related field; 5+ years biopharmaceutical industry experience.
- 3+ years in a people leadership role.
- Experience in analytical method development for biological drug substance and drug product.
Additional Skills/Preferences
- Advanced degree (MS/PhD) preferred.
- GMP manufacturing operations; regulatory inspections/audits.
- Knowledge of biotech manufacturing processes, lab/commercial scale models, and unit operations.
- Strong written/verbal communication; proactive, flexible, and able to work in cross-functional teams.
Additional Information
- Travel possible but minimal. Monday–Friday onsite; occasional extended/off-hours support may be required.
Compensation/Benefits
- Anticipated wage: $123,000–$180,400. Eligible for company bonus and comprehensive benefits (e.g., 401(k), medical/dental/vision, life insurance, time off, well-being benefits).
