Associate Director, Technical Operations - Small Molecule Drug Product

Role: Associate Director, Technical Operations – Small Molecule Drug Product, leading technical support for manufacturing oral solid dosage forms at a site in Virginia. Responsibilities include overseeing process development, scale-up, technology transfer, validation, and ongoing commercial production; supporting startup, validation, lifecycle management, and continuous improvement initiatives; ensuring regulatory compliance and operational excellence; collaborating with cross-functional teams including Engineering, R&D, Quality, and Supply Chain; and leading a team of technical specialists. Qualifications: BSc/BEng/Masters in Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutics, or related field; 10+ years of experience in oral solid dose manufacturing, formulation, or process development; strong knowledge of process engineering, validation, cGMP, and regulatory standards; experience in process scale-up, tech transfer, and capital projects; excellent problem-solving and communication skills. High-value biopharma specifics: small molecule oral dosage, process validation, regulatory compliance, manufacturing scale-up, and lifecycle management. Work setup: on-site in Virginia with ~10% travel.
