GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The Associate Director, Supply Chain Planning & Systems is responsible for strategic supply chain planning, end-to-end master production scheduling, and systems management to optimize raw materials planning, procurement, and manufacturing execution. The role ensures alignment of production, capacity, financials, and supply/demand forecasts for both SRP and LRP.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and maintain multi-year supply & demand plans, integrating patient forecasts, revenue projections, throughput, and capacity constraints. Present insights to the executive team to guide prioritization and strategic decisions.
  • Manage the Plan or Record (PoR) and support the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) program ensuring cross-functional alignment among stakeholders towards organizational goals.
  • Manage the end-to-end Master Production Schedule (MPS) ensuring timely availability of materials and production slots for drug substance, bulk drug product, and finished drug product.
  • Identify and implement supply chain system improvements to drive efficiency, accuracy, and visibility.
  • Supply Chain lead on IT-related initiatives ensuring adherence to scope, timelines, and budget.
  • Analyze supply and capacity risk factors and magnitude, develop mitigation plans, and maintain scenario planning models.
  • Manage and analyze data related to material planning, ensuring timely availability of required materials.
  • Support the inventory management strategy in alignment with overall Supply Chain objectives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements, functional specifications, and process flows.
  • Build Supply Chain Planning KPI program for performance and risk management.
  • Manage Supply Chain Planning & Systems vendors and associated performance and budget.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, or relevant Pharmaceutical Science
  • Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management preferred
  • Strong ERP and MES system experience (Oracle NetSuite, DataNinja preferred)
  • Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in procurement, supply chain, or commercial role’s
  • Strong experience in IT Governance and change control process for all system changes in a regulated environment
  • Experience in design and implementing the end-to-end logistics solution with internal and external partners
  • Experience in a Cell or Gene Therapy preferred
