Associate Director, Supply Chain

Role: Associate Director of Supply Chain leading upstream supply strategy for Vertex's Pain portfolio, supporting end-to-end strategic initiatives. Responsibilities include developing supply chain strategies aligned with program goals, collaborating with cross-functional teams (Commercial, Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory), managing supply planning, inventory, risk mitigation, and vendor sourcing. Supporting product launches and phase-outs, overseeing SOPs, purchase orders, and logistics. Requirements: Bachelor's in life sciences, supply chain, or related field; 8+ years of industry experience with increasing scope; expertise in S&OP, supply planning, pharmaceutical regulations (cGMP, GXP), and ERP systems (Oracle, Kinaxis, Veeva); strong communication, stakeholder management, and project leadership skills. Preferred: experience with pharma supply chain compliance, global virtual teams, and strategic sourcing.
