Associate Director, Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management – Clinical Packaging
Job Responsibilities:
- Support procurement activities, strategic sourcing, contracting, supplier portfolio strategy, market/risk intelligence, and ESG for clinical packaging, labeling, and distribution suppliers.
- Lead annual business review meetings (BRMs) with assigned CMOs as needed.
- Support supplier network assessment and mitigation of supplier risks; participate in CMO site visits.
- Prepare/review/challenge/track RFPs/RFQs/RFIs for new business with external suppliers with functional stakeholders (GCSC, Packaging Engineering, QA, Logistics).
- Negotiate Confidentiality Agreements, Master Services Agreements, and Work Orders.
- Escalate recurrent/chronic supplier performance issues; oversee external production and other projects/CMOs as assigned.
- Serve as primary day-to-day contact to assigned CMOs.
- Facilitate site selection across pre-pivotal modalities; assist transfers of new clinical programs.
- Lead/participate in Operational Excellence projects; develop/monitor CMO performance metrics; communicate project/performance/resource issues and delays.
Basic Requirements:
- BA/BS + 10+ years, or MA/MS + 8+ years, or 3+ years in Strategic Sourcing (or equivalent).
- 10–20% domestic/international travel.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in clinical packaging/labeling/distribution and strategic sourcing; GMP knowledge (21CFR 11, 210, 211, 820); cross-functional leadership; negotiating complex agreements; strong communication; manage multiple programs; project management a plus.
Comp/Benefits:
- Salary range: $182,070.00–$235,620.00; may include discretionary annual bonus, stock-based long-term incentives, paid time off, and company-sponsored medical/dental/vision/life.
