Clinical Research and Development
Position Objectives:
- Serve patients by advancing the R&D Data and Quantitative Sciences work; enable data-driven, scientifically and quantitatively rigorous decision-making.
- SQS integrates data science, analytics, and quantitative methods to improve efficiency and precision across drug discovery and development.

Position Accountabilities:
- Lead delivery for one or more assets at GPT level or specialty area in preclinical, clinical, and translational.
- Facilitate cross-functional execution and delivery collaboration in Global Project Teams (GPTs) with DQS/R&D and external vendors.
- Enable seamless, predictable delivery of the SQS and DQS mission.
- Own asset-level delivery strategies, including risk identification and mitigation.
- Build internal and external vendor sphere of influence to drive predictable delivery.
- Identify and implement continuous improvements to delivery approaches and fit-for-purpose mitigations.

Education / Experience:
- Degree in statistics/biostatistics or equivalent quantitative sciences.
- PhD with ~5 years’ experience OR MS with ~8+ years’ experience.

Required/Preferred Skills:
- Subject matter expertise across multiple quantitative/statistical areas; go-to colleague.
- Drug R&D scientific understanding to inform methodological input.
- Strong communication skills across functional lines.
- Ability to identify and leverage innovative, fit-for-purpose methods.
- Lead and be accountable for asset-level strategies.
- Mentorship and matrix/direct management of a small team of SQS colleagues.
- Facilitate collaboration across GPTs, DQS, and R&D; develop internal/external expertise influence.
