About The Role
Program Lead Statistical Programmer on one or more clinical programs; provides statistical programming leadership and strategic input. Builds efficient, fit-for-purpose approaches for early-phase studies; advises on analysis, reporting, regulatory submission deliverables, and programming processes/tools/standards/procedures. Partners cross-functionally to support progression into later-stage studies; may have direct reports.
Your Contributions (include, But Are Not Limited To)
- Provide strategic/technical statistical programming leadership and scalable practices.
- Serve as clinical program lead statistical programmer across the development lifecycle.
- Develop and implement analysis/reporting/regulatory submission approaches (e.g., annotated CRFs, dataset transport files, define documents, reviewer guides).
- Create frameworks for programming strategy, resourcing, analysis, and delivery; improve processes/technology.
- Build expertise in specialized clinical data/study considerations (PK/PD, biomarkers, labs, healthy volunteers/patients, age/special populations).
- Lead programming standards/conventions; build statistical programming infrastructure.
- Assess workload and ensure appropriate programming resourcing.
- Lead hiring, training, coaching, and oversight of in-house and contract programmers.
- Assess software needs; identify scalable, consistent, efficient tools/tech.
- Select/oversee/validate external vendors; oversee CDISC implementation and conventions.
- Create/validate e-submission requirements.
- Serve as primary/lead programmer for DSUR/Annual Report and IB updates; lead and/or QC as needed.
Requirements
- BS/BA + 10+ years (or MS + 8+ years, or PhD + 6+ years) as a statistical programmer in biopharma/CRO; managerial experience required.
- Advanced SAS (Base/Stat/Macro/graph); strong leadership and communication; project/time management.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint).
- Working knowledge of SDTM/ADaM and integrated databases.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements for dataset submissions (SAS/CDISC) and hands-on experience.
- Advanced relational database/data systems knowledge; strong negotiation/influencing.

- Annual base salary expected: $171,800–$235,000; annual bonus target 30%; equity long-term incentive eligibility; retirement match; paid time off and leave; medical/dental/vision benefits.
