Associate Director, Signal Detection Scientist (1 of 2)

Role: Associate Director, Signal Detection Scientist within Pharmacovigilance, focused on developing and implementing safety surveillance strategies for complex pharmaceutical products. Responsibilities include leading systematic detection and evaluation of new safety signals from post-marketing data, utilizing advanced tools and methodologies, and collaborating with cross-functional safety teams to develop product-specific surveillance plans. The role involves signal validation, data mining across regulatory databases (FDA FAERS, VigiBase, EudraVigilance), and exploring novel analytical approaches to enhance safety monitoring. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field (Master’s, PharmD, or RN preferred), with at least 3 years of industry experience in drug safety or pharmacovigilance, and 1+ year of clinical or patient-care experience highly preferred. Strong understanding of global regulatory requirements, adverse event assessment, and experience with safety data analysis tools such as SAS, JMP, or similar platforms are required. Skills in data manipulation, epidemiology, and safety signal interpretation are essential, with preferred knowledge of machine learning and public health surveillance methods. The position requires excellent communication, project leadership, and stakeholder collaboration skills, with up to 10% domestic and international travel.
