Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead platform architecture, strategy, and technical initiatives for the Vertex Connects Portal (Salesforce-based CGT) for CASGEVY and Type 1 Diabetes.
- Create/validate architectural, functional, and technical specifications; run architecture/design sessions; deliver SLC/GxP architecture artifacts.
- Drive technical architecture/design needs to improve process efficiency and operational excellence.
- Contribute to Commercial and Supply Chain capability roadmaps.
- Manage regulated CGT platform lifecycle (Commercial + Supply Chain).
- Coordinate planning/testing and internal/vendor release upgrades; facilitate release management and production release schedules.
- Lead platform communications (status, downtime, releases).
- Serve as Operations SME for enhancements, upgrades, implementations, and integrations (product + GxP expertise).
- Manage risk/mitigation; improve delivery practices; define/manage DevOps delivery operating model.
- Manage CI/CD pipeline and development capacity; provide budgeting/resource input.
- Coach/lead colleagues and onshore/offshore managed service providers.
Required Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, software engineering, or related technology.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- 5+ years relevant experience.
- Salesforce platform experience; patient/product scheduling; Salesforce Agentforce/AI automation.
- GxP systems/security incl. Disaster Recovery, Backup/Restore, data retention/archival; Part 11 CFR 21 validation.
- Biotech/Pharmaceutical experience; SaaS vendor experience; stakeholder engagement + vendor management.
- Some experience across business/information/infrastructure/software architecture areas; Agile team leadership.
Required Skills
- Software vendor/MSP management; executive communication; continuous improvement.
- Expert Agile SDLC, DevOps, and GxP; configuration/customization and SDLC documentation.
- Interpret requirements/specs into technical/process solutions; strong analytics/problem-solving.
Nice to have
- Own Backup, Bartender, Salesforce Life Sciences Cloud; Cell & Gene Therapy technology experience.
