Role Summary

Associate Director, Revenue Management & Government Pricing. Hybrid role with remote work flexibility and headquarters in Watertown, MA.

Reporting to the SVP of Corporate Finance, this role owns revenue accounting and the GTN process, leads outsourced providers across revenue accounting, chargebacks/rebates, government pricing, and price transparency reporting, and acts as the internal expert on US revenue recognition (ASC 606) and federal/state pricing and transparency obligations. The position is build-and-scale, with cross-functional partnership to ensure compliant, accurate, and timely results.

Responsibilities

  • Own the Revenue & GTN Cycle
    • Own end‚Äëto‚Äëend revenue recognition and reporting under US GAAP (ASC 606), including variable consideration estimation, roll‚Äëforwards, and revenue analytics.
    • Lead the monthly close for US product revenue: review/approve journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and flux analyses driving on‚Äëtime and right‚Äëfirst‚Äëtime results.
    • Build and maintain the GTN waterfall: work with third-party partner to design methodologies, set assumptions, monitor drivers (chargebacks, rebates, returns, price protection, copay, admin fees), and manage true‚Äëups.
  • Manage Outsourced Providers (Primary Day‚Äëto‚ÄëDay Leader)
    • Serve as business owner for third‚Äëparty service providers (3PL, chargebacks/rebates processor, government pricing vendor, price transparency reporting partner, data aggregator).
    • Set SLAs/KPIs, chair weekly operational reviews, resolve exceptions, and ensure data integrity across EDI (852/867), wholesaler data, and ERP/finance systems.
    • Evaluate vendor performance, escalate issues, and drive continuous improvement and automation.
  • Government Pricing & Price Transparency Compliance
    • Oversee (via vendor) all federal and state pricing programs: MDRP/Medicaid (AMP/Best Price, DDR), 340B (ceiling price), VA/FSS (NFAMP/FCP), Medicare Part B, TriCare, and state drug price transparency filings (e.g., WAC launch and price‚Äëincrease reporting).
    • Govern contract & pricing data: class‚Äëof‚Äëtrade, customer eligibility, price lists/WAC, wholesaler admin fees, and distributor agreements ensuring compliant data lineage and documentation.
    • Partner with Legal/Market Access on payer and channel contracts.
    • Own the annual methodology documentation, governance calendar, SOPs, and change controls.
  • Order‚Äëto‚ÄëCash & Trade Operations Oversight
    • Oversee order‚Äëto‚Äëcash in partnership with 3PL/wholesalers (order management, invoicing, cash application, deductions, short‚Äëpays).
    • Ensure robust chargeback/ rebate adjudication and dispute resolution with distributors, GPOs, PBMs, and payers.
    • Design key controls (SOX 404), segregation of duties, and data reconciliations across ERP, 3PL portal, and pricing systems.
  • Cross‚ÄëFunctional Partnership
    • Own GTN inputs working with service provider to translate market dynamics into forecast assumptions.
    • Provide clear, decision enabling insights to senior leadership with scenario analyses and sensitivities around price, mix, and channel.
    • Support external reporting and quarterly/annual audits.

Qualifications

  • CPA preferred, Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance/Economics required.
  • 10 – 12 years of progressive experience in biopharma revenue accounting and government pricing (launch and in‚Äëmarket experience strongly preferred).
  • Deep working knowledge of ASC 606, GTN methodologies, and SOX internal controls.
  • Hands‚Äëon leadership managing outsourced providers (3PL, chargebacks/rebates, government pricing, transparency reporting) with measurable SLA/KPI outcomes.
  • Practical expertise across Medicaid/340B/VA calculations and submissions, DDR processes, and state drug price transparency obligations.
  • Strong technical accounting and policy/SOP writing.
  • Advanced Excel skills, familiarity with NetSuite (or similar ERP).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management, thrives in a fast‚Äëmoving, first‚Äëlaunch environment with high ownership.
  • Strong technical expertise, communication skills and good judgement to provide executives with an objective and independent point of view on broader business issues.
  • Demonstrated track record of being part of a team of high performing finance professionals; hands‚Äëon, collaborative, able to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Strong learning agility and emotional intelligence.

Education

  • Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance/Economics required; CPA preferred.
