Role: Research Procurement and Contracts Lead within the Research and Research Support functions at a biopharma oncology company, focusing on connecting research teams with G&A functions to optimize procurement, contracting, and external partnerships. Responsibilities: lead and coordinate research contracting, streamline vendor engagement strategies, interface with Procurement, Legal, and Finance; improve processes and system integrations; oversee external research agreements such as academic collaborations and CRO contracts; manage vendor performance, risks, budgets, and reporting; develop and coach support resources. Requirements: Bachelor's degree with 5-7 years of relevant experience in procurement, contract management, or purchasing within pharmaceutical research; strong interpersonal and organizational skills; proactive, collaborative, results-driven, and able to operate independently under tight timelines; proficient in MS Office, Smartsheets, and contract management tools like Omnea, IronClad, Coupa. Preferred: scientific background in Biology, Chemistry, or Biochemistry. High-Value: focus on research procurement for oncology RAS-inhibitor programs, with exposure to external partnerships, vendor management, and cross-functional stakeholder engagement. Work setup: onsite at Redwood City, CA with a salary range of $186,000β$233,000 USD, inclusive of total rewards.
