Role: Associate Director, Research Biostatistics, providing strategic and scientific statistical leadership across CSL's discovery, translational, and early research programs. Responsibilities: lead complex statistical analyses of diverse datasets (biomarker, omics, imaging, longitudinal), develop innovative methodologies (e.g., Bayesian, causal inference, machine learning), support biomarker validation, and translate scientific data into actionable insights for target evaluation and portfolio decisions. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including Bioinformatics, Biometrics, Data Management, and PK/PD, and contribute to scientific publications and external partnerships. Mentors team members and champions data-driven decision-making and statistical best practices. Qualifications: PhD in Statistics, Biostatistics, or related field; 8+ years in preclinical or early-stage biopharma research; proven expertise in advanced statistical methods for biological and translational data; strong programming skills in R and related platforms; demonstrated scientific contributions through publications or methodological innovations.
