About The Role (Summary)
Senior Pharmacist, in-house authority for regulatory affairs and professional practice for LillyDirect Pharmacy (Indiana).
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as subject matter expert on Indiana pharmacy law, Board of Pharmacy regulation, federal pharmacy practice standards, and direct-to-patient regulatory environment.
- Monitor and interpret legislation/rulemaking/model standards and translate impacts into operational and policy responses.
- Lead professional practice agenda: patient safety, pharmacist conduct expectations, and standards of care.
- Partner with QA/Compliance/Risk/Legal on regulatory matters, audits, board correspondence, and inspection readiness.
- Support pharmacy talent pipeline (intern recruiting/preceptorship), and provide pharmacist development/mentorship; participate in hiring and competency assessment.
- Verify prescription order accuracy; resolve prescription issues with prescribers and patients.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to streamline processes and improve patient satisfaction.
- Stay current on trends/technology for direct-to-patient operations; improve pharmacy processes/systems.
- Work scheduled shifts typically TueβThu, 9:00 a.m.β5:00 p.m. (remote flexibility per policy).
Basic Qualifications
- BS Pharmacy or PharmD.
- Active, unrestricted Indiana pharmacist license.
- 5+ years pharmacy practice experience.
- Authorized to work in the U.S. full-time; Lilly does not sponsor visas/work authorization.
Additional Preferences
- 5+ years with responsibility for regulatory compliance, patient safety, and professional practice.
- Experience with Boards of Pharmacy/associations (e.g., NABP, APhA) in advisory/leadership roles.
- Multi-store/multi-unit operational leadership or equivalent senior regulatory/professional practice leadership.
- Engagement in policy/rulemaking; work with legislators/licensing agencies.
- Supervisor/District/Professional Practice leadership with 50+ pharmacist team; audit leadership across multi-state footprint.
- Preceptor/guest lecturer experience; strong Indiana pharmacy network.
- Leadership/communication, attention to detail, influence across senior leadership.
