Associate Director, Regulatory Affairs US Advertising and Promotion

Responsibilities:
- Set strategy and lead cross-functional, multidisciplinary therapeutic teams and multidivisional initiatives.
- Make decisions and plans for operations (workflow, assignments, staff development) with minimal direction.
- Maintain and evaluate productivity metrics to project current and future business needs.
- Align and manage communication with Medical, Marketing, Regulatory, Legal, and Public Affairs; identify process/policy improvements and lead initiatives.
- Assist with departmental budget management; identify and project current and future expenditures and business needs.
- Collect and analyze business issues/trends to identify and act on cross-organization/cross-business opportunities.
- Operate independently; consult senior staff as needed for risks; in absence of Director, manage day-to-day operations.
- Encourage innovation; hold employees accountable; mentor, reward, and recommend promotions based on performance.
- Apply regulatory knowledge and guidance related to advertising and promotions.
- Develop/implement complex processes and projects; deliver strategic presentations for senior management.
- Hybrid schedule: 3 days in office from Mettawa, IL; Florham Park, NJ; or Irvine, CA.

Significant Work Activity:
- Continuous sitting for prolonged periods (>2 consecutive hours in an 8-hour day).

Qualifications:
- Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in science + 8 years relevant industry experience (e.g., regulatory affairs fellowship, Health Authority, ad promo).
- Preferred: PharmD + 6 years relevant industry experience.
- Experience in complex, matrix environments.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Solid understanding of regulatory advertising and promotion regulations with direct responsibility.
- Experience developing and implementing successful global strategies.
