Associate Director R&D AI Solutions & Analytics

Role: Associate Director, R&D AI Solutions & Analytics, leading strategic and technical initiatives to advance AI-enabled analytics within pharmaceutical research and development. Responsibilities include designing, implementing, and scaling AI-driven solutions to enhance decision-making, operational efficiency, and portfolio insights; fostering a culture of innovation; and partnering with Digital/IT and external vendors for deployment. The position involves mentoring team members, developing prototypes, supporting deployment of use cases like workflow automation and clinical analytics, and delivering scalable dashboards aligned with R&D priorities. Qualifications: Bachelor's in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Life Sciences, or related field; 8+ years in analytics, AI solutions, or digital innovation within pharma, biotech, or healthcare; hands-on experience developing AI data products, dashboards, and operational tools; knowledge of regulated R&D environments and industry data standards such as CDISC and FHIR; capable of managing multiple initiatives and collaborating across teams. High-Value: focus on AI-driven insights across Clinical Development, Clinical Operations, and Portfolio Strategy; experience with enterprise deployment, regulated environments, and cross-functional stakeholder engagement. Work setup: hybrid model in San Diego, CA, San Francisco, CA, or Princeton, NJ, requiring 3 days/week onsite; willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
