Associate Director, Project Management, Digital Process & Data Analysis

The Associate Director, Project Management (Metrics, Analytics & Performance—MAP) leads project management for the development, delivery, and maintenance of a portfolio of metrics/analytics projects to support strategic decisions, improve planning/execution, and monitor performance across Global Clinical Trial Operations (GCTO).
Responsibilities:
- Collect, assign, track, and prioritize user requests for modifications (upgrades/bug fixes) to systems.
- Manage timelines and resources through development and release (including communication and training).
- Approve change requests (upgrades/bug fixes/data changes) and coordinate release planning/assessment with R&D IT.
- Coordinate System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test case development, issue tracking, and deployment documentation.
- Develop business cases with process owners/stakeholders and R&D IT for new tools/solutions.
- Document business needs/criticality in SDLC documentation.
- Communicate system changes to business process owners, requestors, and stakeholders.
- Develop processes for access and support of released tools.
- Ensure internal Service Level Agreement (SLA) adherence and annual review/update with R&D IT.
- Create user provisioning/deprovisioning processes.
- Ensure data sharing/exchange processes between applications and apply record retention policy when applicable.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor of Science.
- 8+ years in IT Project Management.
Skills/Qualifications:
- 5+ years in clinical research/clinical development (preferred).
- Basic system testing and training to user communities.
- Knowledge of quality management/control tools.
- Evaluate process impacts of changes; resolve conflict.
- Identify critical business process inputs/outputs and dependencies (workflow vs dataflow).
- Reporting tools (Qlik Sense, Power BI) and modelling/planning tools.
- SQL or other database/query tools (plus).
- Leadership, conflict resolution, discretion; customer service orientation; strong teamwork.
