Associate Director, Program Budget Delivery Lead

Responsibilities:
- Partner with DPMs, Program Finance, and SPTs to co-develop high-quality, decision-ready Program Budgets, embedding drug-development and financial expertise within program teams.
- Own the quality and timeliness of Program Budget outputs at the CDU and portfolio level (with DPM retaining overall accountability).
- Forecast resource capacity and costs; build end-to-end development plans and associated costs from IND through lifecycle management (LCM).
- Enable comparison of programs across the portfolio to support investment and prioritization decisions.
- Manage timely entry/exit points for initial and subsequent Program Budget updates with ongoing collaboration with DPM and Program Finance.
- Facilitate decision-making and guide SPTs through strategic planning to improve consistency and comparability of deliverables.
- Act as a near-term force multiplier to expedite implementation of Program Budgets with consistent quality, and contribute to longer-term capability building.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years industry experience, including 5+ years in project management (MBA preferred).
- Significant biotechnology/pharmaceutical experience; strong understanding of drug development from early development through LCM.
- Strong financial competence building/evaluating program budgets, resource forecasts, and development costs.
- Proven strategic planning and portfolio management; ability to synthesize complex information into decision-ready outputs.
- Ability to operate as an embedded content expert and thought partner without formal authority.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills across multiple programs under compressed timelines.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to negotiate/influence across all levels, including senior leadership.
- Excellent written/verbal communication to present complex financial/strategic information.
- IT proficiency with MS software (including Excel-based financial modeling), project management tools, and process mapping tools.
