Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Lead procurement/category management for assigned Specialized Services categories (e.g., Regulatory & Patient Safety), including supplier assessments, proposal review/drafting, and negotiations/redlining with limited legal supervision.
- Run sourcing events and implement integrated, data-driven category strategies that deliver measurable value, productivity gains, and service excellence.
- Serve as an accountable point of contact for Clinical Development stakeholders and strategic suppliers; provide recommendations/updates to senior leadership.
- Partner with SRM teams to support supplier segmentation and formal Supplier Relationship Management (SRM).
- Drive value-creation targets, performance reviews, KPI-driven accountability/compliance via contracts, and identify/mitigate supplier and supply-chain risks.
- Deliver cost reduction/value enhancement/productivity initiatives; support budgeting/forecasting; lead negotiations and deal structuring.
- Support governance/compliance structures, monitor contractual/financial/ethical requirements, and provide performance reporting.
- Build cross-functional partnerships; support adoption of advanced procurement/automation/digital technologies; benchmark best practices; mentor junior procurement staff.

Qualifications
- B.S./B.A. required (M.S./M.B.A. preferred).
- 7+ years relevant experience in biopharmaceuticals/life sciences; 5+ years in strategic procurement/category management or comparable.
- Demonstrated experience leading sourcing, supplier negotiations, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Strong category management and strategic sourcing knowledge; experience in cost/value/productivity programs.
- Global/cross-functional exposure preferred.
- Travel may be required (domestic/international).
