Responsibilities include designing, overseeing, and interpreting animal efficacy, target engagement, and PK/PD studies, developing integrated pharmacology plans, and applying scientific reasoning to evaluate mechanisms and translational hypotheses. The role involves partnering with cross-functional teams (DMPK, Toxicology, Clinical Pharmacology, Regulatory, CROs) to integrate pharmacology insights into development decisions, regulatory submissions, and external evaluations. The position requires managing CRO-executed studies, ensuring data quality, timelines, and budgets, and leveraging AI tools and modeling for decision support. Requirements include a PhD in Pharmacology, Biology, Immunology, or related fields, with 4-6+ years of industry experience in preclinical pharmacology, including efficacy models, mechanism of action, and biomarker strategies. Preferred expertise encompasses immunology and immune-mediated diseases, with strong scientific judgment, experimental design skills, and experience in supporting candidate selection, IND-enabling activities, or lifecycle management. Collaboration with multiple functions and external partners is essential, alongside excellent communication and organizational skills. The position is based primarily in New York City or Boston with a hybrid work model, requiring 3 days/week onsite. The compensation range is $177,500–$232,000, with additional benefits.
