Reporting to Executive Director, Pharmaceutical Development and Manufacturing (PDM) Strategy, you will lead development of strategies for PDM with an enterprise mindset, providing clarity to leaders and decision makers. Includes leading strategic analysis projects as part of a high-performance internal consulting team. This role is based in Foster City, CA.
Focus Areas:
- Develop, revise, and maintain PDMโs network strategies for clinical & commercial manufacturing; codify strategies, set operating principles, and formulate new network strategies.
- Lead strategic analysis and option evaluations; present recommendations to PDM Leadership Team and beyond.
- Conduct analyses, stakeholder interviews, and external benchmarking to support recommendations and identify opportunities.
- Build out a PDM sustainability strategy aligned with Gileadโs sustainability goals.
Basic Qualifications:
- 10+ years with BS/BA OR 8+ years with MS/MA or MBA.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelorโs + 10+ years relevant experience, or MS/PhD/MD + 8+ years relevant experience.
- 3+ years at a top-tier consulting firm or similar role in bio-pharma manufacturing/technical development strategy.
- Bio/pharma experience with cross-functional leadership; strong business acumen; ability to lead strategic analysis and teams.
- Knowledge of global supply chain complexity and geopolitical factors; strong process orientation; ability to influence without direct reporting.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, conflict resolution, and ability to drive in ambiguity.

Compensation/Benefits (as stated):
- Salary range: $182,070.00 - $235,620.00. May be eligible for discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives, paid time off, and company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans.
