Associate Director, Payments

Role: Associate Director, Payments responsible for overseeing the clinical site payment process across North and South America within Johnson & Johnson's Innovative Medicine division. The primary objectives include ensuring accurate, timely payments to clinical trial sites, optimizing payment processes through technology and process improvements, and managing global payment strategies. Responsibilities encompass leading the Payments team (including insourced, outsourced, and contractor resources), aligning study pricing with Global Pricing, collaborating on system functionality with the CTMS Payment Manager, resolving payment disputes, maintaining compliance, and driving process efficiencies and talent development. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree, minimum of 8 years industry experience in clinical trial administration, payment management, or procurement, with proven people management skills. Technical skills include proficiency in Microsoft Office, familiarity with clinical trial budgets, contracting, procurement systems, and experience with BI tools like Tableau is preferred. High-value specifics: experience with clinical site payments, trial budget development, and knowledge of drug development processes are advantageous. The role involves cross-functional collaboration with local trial teams, finance, and global systems, with a travel expectation of approximately 10%.
