The Associate Director, Operations and Communications will work directly with the Rheumatology franchise VP, senior staff and employees across sales, marketing and IBT to ensure strategic and tactical imperatives are communicated clearly and operating effectively to advance the business, inspire internal stakeholders, and elevate employee engagement and culture. The role includes day-to-day planning and execution of a strategic communications & operational plan, seeking opportunities to close gaps and elevate agility and engagement, and leading strategic projects to advance Rheumatology commercial or IBT organization.

Responsibilities:
- Integrate marketing, sales, and IBT strategies to enhance communication, execution, and engagement.
- Manage scope, project plans, logistics, and schedules of strategic and tactical initiatives.
- Establish organizational tools to drive progress, ensure deadlines/goals, identify/resolve issues, and close gaps.
- Cross-functionally create, socialize, optimize, and implement commercial initiatives (e.g., town halls, national meetings, staff meetings, executive memos, presentations, award/recognition, brand planning, leadership development).
- Design and execute a franchise communications strategy using compelling content, storytelling, and engaging experiences (written, digital, video).
- Develop and manage the franchise master calendar.
- Enhance two-way employee dialogue via new channels and lead culture/engagement initiatives.
- Coordinate best practices across peer Communication & Operations roles in Immunology and other AbbVie BUs.

Qualifications:
- Bachelorโ€™s degree required; preferred MBA or Masterโ€™s degree.
- Minimum 5 years in sales, leadership, marketing, or related commercial experience (launch/growth brands).
- Working knowledge of Rheumatology/Immunology brands and market.
- Cross-functional project ownership from idea to implementation; detail-oriented.
- Relationship management and ability to motivate/lead/influence without direct authority.
