Role: Lead data engineering for Lilly's real-world data (RWD) infrastructure, supporting end-to-end pipeline development and data product creation across multiple therapeutic areas to facilitate evidence generation and analytics. Responsibilities: design, develop, and deploy scalable, cloud-native data pipelines and products using platforms such as Databricks, AWS, and Azure; optimize large-scale claims, EHR, and linked datasets with healthcare standards (ICD, SNOMED, LOINC); establish and enforce data engineering standards, automation, quality checks, and CI/CD processes; collaborate with cross-functional teams including HEOR, Statisticians, and Medical; and provide technical guidance on data asset lifecycle and best practices. Requirements: Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, or related field; minimum 3 years of healthcare RWD data engineering experience; expertise in SQL, Python, distributed computing, cloud platforms, and healthcare data standards; experience with OMOP CDM, genomics data, and AI/ML pipelines preferred. Work setup: Indianapolis preferred, with options for remote based on needs; occasional travel may be required. This role reports to the Director – RWD Data Engineering and works within Lilly’s BIA organization.
