- Design, contribute to execution, and interpret large, complex human genetics studies in relevant therapeutic areas.
- Apply human genetics to target discovery: select indications, identify patient subgroups likely to respond via genetic analyses.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary genetics team (human genetics, bioinformatics, statistical genetics) to design and interpret ophthalmology genetics studies.
- Partner with Genome Informatics, Analytical Genomics, Clinical Informatics, and other RGC teams to deliver high-quality scientific work.
- Generate, summarize, and present results internally and externally; lead or contribute to scientific reports and publications.

Qualifications / Preferred:
- Training/experience in translational human genetics and genetic epidemiology (or related disciplines); strong quantitative skills.
- Familiarity with statistical genetics for actionable insights (e.g., polygenic risk scores, quantitative trait analyses, Mendelian randomization).
- Familiarity with command-line interface, programming (Python, R) and statistical software.
- Experience integrating genetics with other β€œomics” (e.g., epigenetics, proteomics, RNA-seq).

Skills:
- Ability to design and lead human genetics studies with medically relevant findings.
