Role Summary
The Associate Director, Nephrology Payer Insights is responsible for the scope, execution, and delivery of payer reporting, analytics, research, and insights to support the Nephrology business unit, working with internal colleagues within Market Access & Reimbursement (MA&R) and other cross-functional partners and stakeholders, including brand, field teams, commercial operations and insights, finance, and global. You will develop and execute on an insights plan to support successful launches in the nephrology space, including understanding the payer landscape, assessing payer views on price/value and unmet needs, understanding nephrology providers and practice economics, and assessing the patient access landscape, including patient affordability. You will develop and maintain a suite of standard MA&R reporting at national and local levels, including formulary access in each channel, payer and channel segmentation mix, projected plan performance, and will lead insights activities in support of major strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Conduct payer-related reporting, analytics, research, and insights work to support the nephrology business
- Partner cross-functionally and participate in analysis and preparation of performance and opportunity assessments
- Build and execute payer-related reporting and insight generation for account management and field reimbursement teams
- Work with key stakeholders within MA&R and across functions to understand their business and triage and deliver effective solutions using various data sources
Qualifications
- Required: BA/BS; MBA or relevant work experience preferred
- Required: 7+ years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry and/or strategic consulting discipline
- Required: Experience with buy-and-bill products
- Required: Strong analytical skills
- Required: In-depth knowledge of US healthcare reimbursement, payer, and access landscape, including in a product launch setting
- Required: Familiarity with incorporating qualitative and quantitative inputs into projects
- Required: Ability to proactively deliver moderately complex analytical investigations and cross-functional projects with limited guidance
- Required: Comfort with ambiguity and ability to absorb and logically structure information into analytical deliverable outputs
- Required: High sense of urgency with the ability to work under tight timelines
- Required: Demonstrated strong communication skills – both efficient and succinct in verbal and written communications/deliverables

- Preferred: Experience in the nephrology market
