Role Summary

The Associate Director will lead the site IT team at the Indianapolis Device Assembly and Packaging Site (IDAP), delivering the site digital agenda and providing operational support for IT systems. The role focuses on enhancing manufacturing operations through advanced digital technologies and systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence, and standardizing learnings across Lilly sites.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of digital transformation strategies to improve manufacturing processes and support operational excellence
  • Actively contribute to the site leadership team to influence and advance IDAP’s strategic plan
  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) & Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) and align them with business objectives
  • Enable data-driven decisions via digital analytics visualizations and AI solutions
  • Manage and mentor a team of professionals to achieve project goals
  • Identify and evaluate emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement and innovation in manufacturing operations
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and industry standards in digital transformation initiatives
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support project success
  • Share benchmarks and collaborate across Lilly’s network to standardize capabilities for related sites

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Sciences, or a related field
  • Required: Minimum of 3+ years of people leadership experience
  • Required: Professional experience working in a GXP, regulated environment
  • Required: Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills
  • Required: Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Required: Proven track record of leading digital transformation projects in a manufacturing environment
  • Required: Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to manufacturing and quality systems
  • Required: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships and articulate complex technical concepts
  • Required: Adaptability and flexibility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple tasks autonomously
  • Required: Demonstrated curiosity for continuous learning and strategic thinking

Additional Requirements
