Associate Director, Modeling & Simulation

Role: Associate Director of Modeling and Simulation within Biometric Sciences, supporting clinical development through quantitative decision-making. Responsibilities: lead development and application of modeling approaches (clinical trial simulation, statistical methodologies, disease models), build scalable data repositories, support cross-functional departments (Biostatistics, Clinical Pharmacology, Scientific Communications), and enhance analytical workflows. Drive organizational innovation, SOP development, and external collaborations. Requirements: PhD in statistics, biostatistics, or related field with 6+ years (PhD) or 10+ years (MS) experience; expertise in statistical modeling (Bayesian, joint, GLMs), programming (R, Python), and clinical trial simulation; strong data analysis and communication skills. Preferred: experience in clinical trial design optimization, machine learning, large data set analysis, and familiarity with GxP standards. High-value specifics: focus on clinical trial analysis, portfolio decision-making, and innovative statistical methodologies applicable to biopharma drug development. Work setup: hybrid or remote in Waltham, MA; travel may be required.
