General Summary:
- The Associate Director, Medical Writing Science manages overall operations of a team or major project through effective leadership. Provides guidance for document development for regulatory filings and coordinates clinical sections of complex regulatory submissions (organization, content, and resource requirements). Applies advanced technical expertise to solve complex problems, fosters interdisciplinary understanding, and integrates Medical Writing Science activities with other departments.
- Hybrid role: 2 days/week remote and 3 days/week in the Boston Fan Pier office. Full relocation package.

Responsibilities:
- Independently author routine and complex clinical and regulatory documents
- Provide strategic input into program-level plans
- Align, coordinate, and build consistent information and messages across clinical program(s)
- Provide leadership for Medical Writing Science activities and manage a team
- Develop and implement goals and initiatives for Medical Writing Science
- Facilitate implementation of new technologies and initiatives for preparation of clinical documents
- Anticipate risks, solve complex problems, and implement process improvements

Knowledge and Skills / Qualifications:
- Plan, manage, and optimize department resources (staff/technology) to streamline advancement of company goals
- Lead independently; solve non-routine complex problems across a broad range of issues
- Anticipate potential problems and prepare contingency plans
- Understand scientific disciplines beyond own specialty area
- Experience managing direct reports and guiding staff development
- Experience with marketing authorization application regulatory submissions

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline; Ph.D. (or equivalent)
- Typically 8 years work experience and 2 years supervisory/management experience (or equivalent)

Pay Range:
- $157,600 - $236,400
