Associate Director, Medical Strategy and Operations, Anti-Infectives and Respiratory

Responsibilities:
- Facilitate annual planning for assets: budget consolidation, forecasting, prioritization, and cross-team alignment.
- Serve as primary Medical Operations partner for 1+ Anti-Infectives and/or Respiratory medicines, supporting Asset Medical Leads with Medical Affairs plan development and execution.
- Drive operational plans (timelines, resourcing, budget assumptions, execution milestones) and support execution of tactics aligned to strategic priorities.
- Track execution vs. plan/budget/milestones; identify risks, trade-offs, and mitigations; ensure adherence to policies, SOPs, and governance.
- Coordinate Medical Matrix Team meetings and cross-TA forums; provide clear status updates and performance insights to leadership/stakeholders.
- Embed TA operating model/ways of working (tools, templates, governance, routines).
- Identify workflow simplification opportunities to improve speed/quality; share best practices.
- Support change initiatives adopting new processes/tools/behaviors.
- Facilitate use of data, dashboards, and digital/AI-enabled tools to improve planning and measure execution impact.
- Coordinate operational support as needed (vendors/agencies/outsourced support).

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, Public Health, or related field.
- 5+ years Medical Affairs operations, medical planning, business operations, or project/program management in pharma/biotech.
- 2+ years supporting medical planning and execution for a brand/asset/TA.
- 2+ years tracking budgets/timelines/execution metrics.
- Experience in matrix environments and contributing to ways-of-working changes.
- Experience with data, dashboards, digital/AI-enabled tools for operational efficiency/insight/impact.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree (MBA/PharmD/PhD or equivalent), PMP certification, or formal project management training.
- Experience with Anti-Infectives and/or Respiratory Medical Affairs and/or launch/post-launch assets.
- Demonstrated process improvement across HQ and field teams.
- Proven matrix effectiveness and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong analytical/problem-solving and stakeholder-management skills.
- Reliable, execution-focused partner to medical and cross-functional leaders.

Travel: ~10–15% as needed.
