Medical Science Liaison (MSL) — Remote US (territory: KY, TN, AL, MS, AR, LA)
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as primary field-based point of contact with HCPs and clinical investigators for clinical and scientific issues
- Deliver and facilitate medical education and communications, research, and scientific insight gathering
- Maintain outstanding knowledge of immuno-oncology, relevant disease areas, and Immunocore/competitor therapeutic options
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure best patient care; align activities to medical strategy
- Maintain ethical compliance with local regulations and laws
- Build and maintain synergistic KOL relationships to expand research, advisory, and educational partnerships
- Act as an educational resource for internal stakeholders; provide training and product medical/scientific support
- Serve as external scientific expert at HCP meetings, conferences, advisory boards, investigator meetings, and patient advocacy groups
- Respond to unsolicited requests for medical information (credible, balanced/objective)
- Lead and implement congress symposiums and other educational programs
- Provide tailored clinical presentations to internal and external audiences
- Support early access programs
- Identify/map HCPs and referral patterns; disseminate field insights with cross-functional partners
- Lead where appropriate to ensure HCP needs/issues are resolved with patient-focused outcomes
- Support congress planning and implementation
- Support clinical operations in trial site identification; facilitate communication with investigators (trials, investigator-sponsored studies, enrollment barriers)
- Lead collation/discussion/review of ESR proposals and set-up/maintenance of approved studies
Qualifications & Required Skills:
- 3–5+ years MSL experience
- MD, PhD, or PharmD
- 3+ years Oncology experience (preferably immuno-oncology and melanoma)
- Knowledge of clinical research design and GCP in oncology/immune oncology
- Strong understanding of trial design and study analysis, including cost effectiveness and HEOR approaches
- Strong understanding of local healthcare systems and treatment guidelines
- Ability to develop trust and maintain integrity with KOLs, investigators, HCPs, institutions, and peers
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations
- Excellent presentation and communication skills; ability to convey complex scientific concepts tailored to audiences
