Role Summary
Associate Director, Medical Science Liaison, Oncology - Central US. Location options include Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Iowa, North & South Dakotas, Wisconsin or Minnesota. Focus: lead field-based medical education, information exchange, and scientific insight activities in immuno-oncology.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain extensive knowledge of immuno-oncology, disease areas, Immunocore products, and competitor products
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal patient care and alignment with medical and company strategy
- Build and maintain relationships with KOLs to expand research, advisory, and educational partnerships
- Maintain high ethical compliance and adhere to local regulations and laws
- Act as educational resource for internal stakeholders; serve as external scientific expert at meetings, conferences, advisory boards, investigator meetings, and patient advocacy group meetings
- Respond to unsolicited medical information requests in a credible, balanced manner
- Lead and implement congress symposia and other educational programs; tailor presentations to audience needs
- Support early access programs
- Identify and map HCP networks; disseminate insights to cross-functional partners
- Lead on trial site identification and facilitate communications between Immunocore and investigators; support externally sponsored research and ESR proposal processes
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams on congress planning and execution
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of MSL experience
- Advanced degree (MD, PhD, PharmD)
- At least 3 years of Oncology experience, preferably immuno-oncology and melanoma
- Knowledge of clinical research design and GCP in oncology/immune-oncology
- Understanding of trial design, study analysis, and HEOR concepts
- Understanding of local healthcare systems and treatment guidelines
- Ability to build trust with KOLs, investigators, HCPs, and institutions; strong ethics and integrity
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations
- Excellent presentation and communication skills; ability to tailor complex concepts to audience
- Travel approximately 60%
