Role Summary

Associate Director, Medical Science Liaison, Oncology - Central US. This role focuses on delivering medical education, scientific insights, and collaborative engagement with healthcare professionals to support Immunocore's oncology programs in the Central US region.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain advanced knowledge of immuno-oncology, disease areas, Immunocore products, competitors, and therapeutic options.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal patient care and alignment with medical and company strategy.
  • Maintain relationships with KOLs to expand research, advisory, and educational partnerships.
  • Adhere to ethical, regulatory, and safety standards in all activities.
  • Act as an educational resource for internal stakeholders and provide medical/scientific training and support on Immunocore products.
  • Represent Immunocore at external meetings, conferences, advisory boards, investigator meetings, and patient advocacy group meetings.
  • Respond to unsolicited medical information requests in a credible, balanced manner.
  • Lead and implement congress symposiums and other educational programs aligned with company strategy.
  • Deliver tailored clinical presentations to diverse audiences and support early access programs.
  • Identify HCP networks and key field insights, disseminate findings, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Support trial site identification and facilitate communication between Immunocore and investigators; manage externally sponsored research processes.

Qualifications

  • Required: At least 3–5 years of MSL experience; advanced degree (MD, PhD, PharmD); 3 years of oncology experience (preferably immuno-oncology and melanoma); knowledge of clinical research design and GCP in oncology/immune-oncology; strong understanding of trial design, HEOR concepts, and local healthcare systems; excellent presentation and communication skills; ability to tailor complex scientific concepts to audiences.
  • Preferred: Demonstrated ability to build trust with KOLs, investigators, HCPs, and institutions; knowledge of applicable laws and regulations; travel up to 60%.

Education

  • Advanced degree (MD, PhD, PharmD) required.
