Role Summary
Associate Director - Medical Science Liaison, Dermatology - North Florida. Position requires home-base location in Orlando, FL or Tampa Bay, FL. The MSL fosters scientific exchange, maintains deep therapeutic-area knowledge, and collaborates with Lilly medical and cross-functional teams to support dermatology initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Scientific knowledge: Maintain advanced technical expertise in the therapeutic area; respond to medical information requests with unbiased, accurate, up-to-date information.
- Customer engagement: Focus on customer-facing activities; act as interfaces between Lilly medical and SEs/CEs to deliver a positive customer experience; connect SEs/CEs with internal resources and facilitate collaborative research opportunities.
- Territory ownership: Develop and execute strategic territory plans; prioritize core MSL activities; use territory analytics for customer identification and routing; ensure compliant partnerships across Lilly field roles.
- Strategic vision and leadership: Synthesize and communicate actionable insights to internal teams; exercise good judgment, escalate issues as needed; build internal networks and collaborate across functions; adapt to evolving business needs and utilize innovative resources.
- Team and compliance: Demonstrate Team Lilly Behaviors (Include, Innovate, Accelerate, Deliver); contribute to team goals; operate in a compliant manner with all governing requirements, procedures, and laws.
Qualifications
- Required: Advanced degree in health sciences (e.g., PharmD, MD, PhD) with 2โ3 years of relevant clinical or therapeutic experience; OR master's or bachelorโs degree in health sciences (e.g., BSN, RPh, PA, NP) with 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Required: Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; Lilly will not sponsor work authorization/visas.
- Required: Valid U.S. driverโs license and acceptable driving record.
Additional Requirements
- Field-based position requires travel up to 80% and up to 4โ6 weekends per year.
- Must live in proximity to a transport hub (airport/train station).

- Experience in servicing customer needs for complex information and in field-based working environments; familiarity with health systems, academic communities, medical research, and medical education processes; dermatology experience strongly preferred.
