Role Summary
Associate Director, Dermatology Medical Science Liaison – Kansas City. Responsible for engaging Scientific and Clinical Experts, delivering high-quality medical information, and fostering collaborative opportunities to inform Lilly’s research and commercialization strategies in dermatology.
Responsibilities
- Engage in continuous scientific learning to maintain expert-level knowledge in the dermatology therapeutic area.
- Serve as a primary interface between Lilly medical and SEs/CEs to deliver a positive customer experience and facilitate collaboration with internal resources and external opportunities.
- Develop and execute strategic territory plans, prioritize core MSL activities, and utilize territory analytics for customer identification and routing.
- Synthesize and communicate actionable customer/clinical insights to internal teams and collaborate across functions; adapt to changing business needs.
- Demonstrate professional judgment, escalate issues as appropriate, and uphold compliance with internal and external requirements.
Qualifications
- Required: Advanced degree in health sciences (e.g., PharmD, MD, PhD) with 2–3 years of relevant clinical or therapeutic experience, or Masters/Bachelor’s with 5+ years in a relevant medical/scientific role.
- Required: Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis (no visa sponsorship provided).
- Required: Valid U.S. driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
- Preferred: Dermatology therapeutic area experience; geography within KC metro area or nearby; ability to travel up to 80% and work weekends as needed; strong communication and presentation skills; high emotional intelligence; excellent networking abilities.

- Proximity to a transport hub (airport/train station)
