Role: The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) for Southeast region at Lilly is a field-based scientific expert supporting clinical development and stakeholder engagement in sleep medicine, specifically related to orexin receptor 2 (OX2R) agonists for narcolepsy and sleep-wake disorders. Responsibilities include maintaining therapeutic expertise, engaging with KOLs and investigators for scientific exchange, supporting clinical trial site identification and training, and representing the company at scientific congresses. The role also involves developing and reviewing scientific materials and contributing to strategic initiatives within Medical Affairs. Requirements: Advanced degree (PhD, PharmD, MD), at least 2 years in a Medical Affairs or MSL role, with strong understanding of sleep neurology and clinical trial design; excellent communication, relationship-building, and scientific presentation skills; valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively throughout the Southeast (Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, South Carolina, Tennessee). Preferred qualifications include prior experience in sleep medicine and familiarity with relevant regulations. High-Value: biologics or small molecules targeting sleep disorders, clinical-stage development, frequent regional travel, supporting late-phase clinical trials, and collaboration with clinical operations and medical teams. Work setup: remote with 60-70% travel, primarily based in Atlanta or a major Florida metro area.
