Associate Director, Medicaid National Accounts

Responsibilities:
- Consult on and execute market access strategies for in-line and pipeline products with Medicaid Team, Brand Teams, Payer Marketing, Business Unit Heads, and Market Access leadership.
- Maintain cutting-edge knowledge of the evolving Medicaid market.
- Participate in brand teams, task forces, and launch teams.
- Identify and synthesize trends across state Medicaid programs, PBAs, and state vendor partners to inform enterprise strategy and prioritization.
- Ensure optimal Preferred Drug List (PDL) access: track bid requests; analyze and support contract negotiations within required timelines.
- Facilitate VEO and Medicaid Account Management collaborations for necessary clinical engagements.
- Communicate/educate Medicaid landscape and product strategy with Regional Account Managers to support downstream field education and pull-through.
- Define β€œwins” and communicate with stakeholders (Value & Access Strategy, RAM) to drive pull-through.
- Evaluate coverage/performance of in-line and pipeline products/categories to identify access, competitive positioning, and improvement opportunities.
- Support analysis of state/requested rebate contracts via RFP process.
- Drive enterprise Medicaid strategy across priority national and state accounts; lead cross-functional account teams.
- Attend Medicaid and affiliated association meetings/conventions as appropriate.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required; Advanced Business or Pharmacy degree preferred.
- 8+ years pharmaceutical industry experience.
- >2 years Medicaid account management experience (Market Access/Account Management).

Skills/Knowledge:
- Solid understanding of federal/state policy and regulation and business implications.
- Demonstrated leadership, strategic planning/execution, complex contract modeling and negotiation.

Travel: 25%–50% domestic.
