Responsibilities:
- Own end-to-end marketing data pipeline architecture, ingesting data from Veeva, Adobe Experience Cloud, Salesforce, Google Ads, and paid media into Snowflake using the Alnylam Common Integration Pattern (Snowflake Data Sharing, Fivetran, Snowpipe)
- Design and maintain a composable CDP architecture: Snowflake system of record; Salesforce Data Cloud activation layer; standardize identity resolution, consent propagation, and event schemas across marketing touchpoints
- Architect and maintain the “data spine” (standardized integration layer connecting marketing execution tools to Snowflake/dbt) to eliminate ad hoc point-to-point integrations
- Lead technical implementation of real-time journey orchestration using AWS Bedrock (audience suppression, frequency caps, channel sequencing, agentic decisioning)
- Serve as primary technical interface to Commercial/Marketing stakeholders and partner with business co-lead Directors across five digital marketing teams (Audience Science, Digital Experience, Content Intelligence, Omnichannel Delivery, Performance Analytics)
- Lead engineering implementation of AI-powered marketing capabilities (Next-Best-Experience infrastructure, propensity modeling pipelines, content personalization at scale, Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) monitoring)
- Manage and develop teams of data, software, MarTech integration, and BI engineers; contribute hands-on to production code, architecture decisions, and design reviews
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Master’s preferred)
- 10+ years in data/software/platform engineering; 5+ years leading technical teams
- 3+ years building marketing/commercial analytics/digital experience data pipelines and integrations (life sciences/pharma strongly preferred)
- Hands-on expertise: Snowflake, dbt, Fivetran, and cloud-native orchestration (Astronomer/Airflow)
- Production experience with CDP architectures (Salesforce Data Cloud, Adobe Experience Platform, or equivalent)
- Strong engineering fundamentals: Python, SQL, REST/GraphQL APIs, CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code
- Production experience with AWS services (Bedrock, SageMaker, S3, Lambda)
- Ability to partner with non-technical business stakeholders
- Understanding of pharma regulatory requirements: GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, HIPAA, and MLR review processes
