ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR, MARKETING SCIENCE AND SALES OPERATIONS

Position Summary

The Associate Director, Marketing Science and Sales Operations will play a critical role in shaping the sales and marketing strategy through analytics, technology, and process optimization. This individual will be responsible for delivering excellence in sales operations, performance measurement, ROI analysis while ensuring alignment between sales and marketing functions to maximize outreach and impact. This role will report to the Senior Director Commercial Analytics.

This position has the potential to be fully remote. Occasional travel will be required for in person meetings.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Execute sales performance analysis, and key performance metrics to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Partner across Commercial Operations to lead analytics initiatives to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and optimize engagement with key stakeholders (e.g., healthcare providers, patient advocacy groups, and research institutions).
  • Partner with Finance and Forecasting teams to cascade corporate forecasts into field sales goals.
  • Partner with marketing and sales leadership to develop and execute targeting and segmentation strategies.
  • Develop and implement sales operations strategies that enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and scalability of commercial activities.
  • Identify opportunities to both increase field effectiveness and operational efficiency via cleaner, risk reduced, process improvement.
  • Manage customer relationship management (CRM) systems, ensuring seamless integration and usage for field sales teams.
  • Maintain and optimize alignments for our Sales organization.
  • Develop and optimize customer affiliation solution to provide full view of customer in a maintainable infrastructure.
  • Develop and manage sales incentive programs to drive high performance and achieve business objectives.
  • Manage relationship with IC administration vendor to validate and deliver accurate and on time IC payments and reporting.
  • Establish strong relationships and feedback loop with all levels of the field sales organization to enhance incentive programs, insights, and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and legal requirements related to sales and marketing operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Life Sciences, Data Science, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in marketing science, sales operations, or commercial analytics within biotech, pharma, or healthcare.
  • Strong understanding of oncology markets, with experience in rare diseases or pediatric indications a plus.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., Veeva), data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), and advanced analytics methodologies.
  • Curiosity mindset is critical.
  • Proven track record of driving sales force effectiveness and marketing optimization through data-driven strategies.
  • Experience with A.I. as it related to sales operations efficiency or insight generation a plus.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management abilities.
  • Ability to work in a cross functional manner and thrive in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Compensation And Benefits

The salary range for this position is $185,000 - $200,000. Day One considers a range of factors when determining base compensation. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary.
