ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR, MARKETING OPERATIONS (Meetings & Events)

Responsibilities
- Define and evolve the strategic framework for meetings, events, and congress engagement to support brand and therapeutic area objectives
- Lead cross-functional coordination across Marketing, Medical Affairs, Compliance, Field Teams, Patient Advocacy, and Corporate Affairs to ensure aligned, integrated planning and execution
- Influence stakeholders without direct authority; provide strategic insights and updates to senior leadership
- Establish and track KPIs to measure effectiveness, inform decisions, and drive continuous improvement
- Lead end-to-end planning and execution of priority congresses aligned to cross-functional and brand objectives
- Partner with stakeholders to define congress strategy (objectives, messaging, engagement plans)
- Lead commercial meetings planning/execution (e.g., POAs, launch meetings, national meetings) aligned to business goals
- Serve as central point of contact for internal stakeholders during congresses and major events
- Ensure activities are fully compliant with internal policies and external regulatory requirements (contracts, documentation, approvals)
- Proactively identify/mitigate operational risks; drive adoption of best practices
- Design/optimize Speaker Bureau strategy and operations for effectiveness, compliance, and field impact
- Ensure targeting, utilization, and performance tracking of speaker programs and field local exhibits
- Own and enhance systems/tools (e.g., speaker and rep portals)
- Develop/maintain SOPs, training materials, and user guides
- Oversee vendor strategy/performance to ensure quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness
- Manage event/program budgets (forecasting, tracking, reconciliation, reporting); drive accountability with external partners

Requirements/Qualifications
- Bachelorโ€™s degree; 12+ yearsโ€™ (or equivalent) relevant marketing/operational experience in the biopharmaceutical industry
- Demonstrable understanding of legal/regulatory environment for pharmaceutical promotions and compliance guidelines
- Proven ability to manage without authority; independently lead high-visibility strategic projects; translate strategy into resources, tactics, and metrics
- Strong project management skills; ability to manage multiple tasks to conclusion within timelines and quality standards
- Exceptional verbal/written communication; strong interpersonal skills; relationship building; conflict management and negotiation
- Routine travel (30%)

Benefits/Compensation
- Pay scale: $150,000 to $175,000
