Job Description:
- Develop and oversee sustainable U.S. market access and channel strategies for assigned rare disease and/or plasma-derived therapies to ensure patient access to Takeda’s existing and future products.
- Lead value story development, payer/PBM contracting strategy, pricing, specialty pharmacy and distribution plans, and payer/channel marketing resources for in-line and pipeline products.
How you will contribute:
- Collaborate across Managed Markets/Patient Access, Medical, HEOR, Marketing, Finance, Analytics, and Sales to capture payer/channel insights, identify data gaps, develop value propositions, and equip field teams with tools.
- Apply knowledge of the reimbursement landscape to market access and pricing strategy.
- Partner with HEOR to define payer evidence needs and integrate into the Medical/HEOR evidence plan.
- Establish and align on metrics to assess market access strategy impacts.
- Manage payer and channel-specific marketing plans to meet patient and business objectives.
- Support annual brand planning, forecasting, and budgeting for payer/channel segments.
- Partner with New Product Planning and Business Development on market access inputs for early-stage/targeted assets.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (related field) required; MBA, PharmD, or MS (health sciences) highly preferred.
- 8+ years biopharma experience required; biopharma market access experience highly preferred (payer, PBM, IDN, GPO, specialty pharmacy, etc.).
- Understanding of U.S. payer market dynamics across commercial and public channels.
- Knowledge of biologics and specialty products preferred.
- Experience working across Medical, Legal, Finance, Analytics, Public Affairs, etc.
- Financial acumen (resource allocation, budgeting/reporting, strategic sourcing, P&L evaluation).
- Analytical capabilities for decision support.
- Knowledge of commercial brand planning processes preferred.
- Travel ~10% (domestic).
