Associate Director, Manufacturing Operations

Role: Associate Director, Manufacturing Operations for Cell Therapy, overseeing multi-shift production at a Boston facility, ensuring compliant manufacturing and team development for cell therapy products. Responsibilities: lead manufacturing execution, optimize processes, manage resources, implement digitization and automation, and foster a strong quality and safety culture; collaborate cross-functionally to translate strategic goals into operational plans; develop talent and manage regulatory inspection readiness. Requirements: Bachelor’s in scientific, technical, or engineering discipline; 12+ years of experience in GMP manufacturing, including managing drug production operations and teams in a cGMP environment; proven track record supporting regulatory inspections (FDA, EMA); expertise in manufacturing metrics, budgeting, capacity planning, and digital manufacturing systems. Preferred: experience with cell therapy manufacturing, talent development, and leading digital transformation initiatives.
