Role Summary

The Associate Director, Liver Franchise Marketing – Regional Engagement, Insights and Events will contribute to the Liver franchise with a focus on Primary Biliary Cholangitis (PBC). This field-based role in the East Region reports to the Senior Director, US Liver Franchise Opinion Leader Programming and requires strategic thinking, strong leadership, and collaboration with internal stakeholders and external opinion leaders.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of the PBC Marketing strategic plan focusing on regional engagement, insight gathering, and events management
  • Coordinate Liver Franchise priorities across Marketing & Sales and cross-functionally
  • Develop and implement key regional priority opportunities and activations
  • Foster the Liver leadership narrative and amplify partnership activities
  • Develop and execute insight plans for key stakeholders, including speaker bureaus and regional advisory boards
  • Coordinate Gilead’s presence at Liver events and sponsorships aligning with commercial priorities
  • Manage and direct agency partners to deliver the annual tactical plan within budget
  • Develop and deliver presentations to internal and external audiences
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations and policies

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree and Ten Years’ Experience OR Master’s Degree and Eight Years’ Experience OR PhD and Two Years’ Experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10 years of professional experience
  • 8+ years MS/MA or MBA
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related fields
  • Familiarity with marketing fundamentals, strategy, sales and commercial policies
  • Experience in marketing research and/or pharmaceutical sales
  • MBA or advanced degree in business or public health
  • Liver experience and relationships
  • Strong customer focus and collaborative work style
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication; ability to simplify complex topics
  • Strong listening skills and adaptability to audience needs
  • Proven project management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Willingness to travel up to 75%
