Role Summary

The Associate Director (AD), Liver Franchise Marketing – Regional Engagement, Insights and Events will contribute to the Liver franchise with a focus on Primary Biliary Cholangitis (PBC). The role requires strategic thinking, strong execution standards, leadership, and collaboration with internal stakeholders and external opinion leaders. Field-based position located in California or Texas.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of the PBC Marketing strategic plan focusing on regional engagement, insight gathering, and events management.
  • Coordinate Liver Franchise strategic priorities across Marketing & Sales and cross-functional teams.
  • Develop and implement key regional priority opportunities and activations.
  • Foster the Liver leadership narrative and amplify partnership activities.
  • Develop and execute insight plans for key stakeholders, including speaker bureaus and regional advisory boards when appropriate.
  • Orchestrate Gilead‚Äôs presence at key Liver events and sponsorships, ensuring alignment with commercial priorities.
  • Manage and direct agency partners to deliver the annual tactical plan within budget.
  • Develop and deliver presentations to internal stakeholders and external audiences.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations and policies.

Qualifications

  • Required: 10 years of professional experience; 8+ years MS/MA or MBA; Bachelor‚Äôs degree in marketing or related field.
  • Familiarity with marketing fundamentals, strategy, sales, and commercial policies and practices.
  • Preferred: experience in marketing research and/or pharmaceutical sales; MBA or other advanced degree in business or public health; liver experience and relationships.
