Position: Associate Director, Leaves and Benefits Product Design
Responsibilities:
- Lead global leave & absence product/process design, strategic vision, operational excellence, and compliance framework.
- Design and continuously improve leave/absence processes, policies, and systems; monitor regulatory and industry trends.
- Oversee benefits administration system capabilities (eligibility, enrollment, integrations, employee self-service) and change management (intake, prioritization, releases, UAT, monitoring).
- Define KPIs/service metrics; drive data-driven improvements to employee leave/benefit experience.
- Lead team of leave/absence professionals (coaching, performance management, capability building).
- Manage vendors (SLAs, incident/change readiness, performance reviews, budgets, ROI) and serve as escalation point.
- Partner cross-functionally (HR, Total Rewards, Payroll, HRIS) for integration, incident stabilization, communications, and training.
- Establish governance/internal controls for FMLA/ADA/PFML and ensure audit readiness; maintain privacy/security.
- Lead M&A leave/benefits integration and due diligence for leave liabilities.
Qualifications/Skills:
- 8+ years progressive leave/absence or HR operations experience; 3+ years people management.
- Bachelorβs degree (HR/Business Admin or related); MBA/MS or equivalent experience.
- Deep knowledge of federal/state leave regulations; strong analytical/problem-solving, change leadership, executive stakeholder management.
- Hands-on experience with HR/benefits/leave systems and HR technology implementations.
