Position: Associate Director (Lead Cloud Architect)
Key Responsibilities
- Own and build AWS Landing Zone architecture (Control Tower, AWS Organizations), ensuring high availability, network resilience (Transit Gateway), and cost efficiency.
- Author and maintain advanced IaC modules using CloudFormation with GitHub; enforce GitOps for infrastructure delivery.
- Design scalable, resilient, cost-efficient cloud-native enterprise architectures; serverless-first, auto-scaling, multi-AZ; design disaster recovery.
- Build secure, robust solutions using CloudFront, Lambda, API Gateway, Elastic Beanstalk, ECS, DynamoDB, S3.
- Embed SecDevOps automation in CI/CD (policy-as-code such as OPA, automated compliance); strong knowledge of AWS Config and IAM roles/policies.
- Own cloud platform/toolchain as a product to improve developer experience and time-to-market.
- Integrate AI/ML into SDLC (e.g., code generation, intelligent testing, security patch recommendations).
- Architect/optimize enterprise CI/CD using GitHub Actions (or equivalent).
- Implement FinOps/resource optimization for AWS spend and utilization.
- Establish/enforce technical standards, design patterns, and quality gates; lead architecture reviews.
Required Experience/Qualifications
- BS (Computer Science/Engineering preferred).
- 10+ years IT/software development; 7+ years enterprise AWS engineering and DevOps delivery.
Required Skills
- Expert Python and NodeJS (or other major language); CloudFormation (or other IaC).
- Expert GitHub (branching, code management; Actions/Advanced Security).
- Expertise designing/debugging IAM policies, network architectures, and distributed cloud troubleshooting.
Preferred
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect β Professional and/or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer β Professional.
