Associate Director, Late Phase Research Biostatistics

Role: Lead statistician overseeing all statistical aspects of late-phase clinical studies for Pacira's pain management and regenerative health products. Responsibilities: provide strategic statistical support to multiple project teams; develop and review study protocols, statistical analyses, and reports; ensure data quality and consistency; mentor staff; and represent statistics in cross-functional meetings. Manage project timelines and resources, ensuring compliance with industry standards and SOPs; serve as departmental representative; and potentially lead a small team (1-3 direct reports). Qualifications: Ph.D. or Master's in Biostatistics or related field; at least 5 years of industry biostatistics experience, including 3+ years managing external collaborations (CROs, consultants); strong SAS/R programming skills; knowledge of observational study designs, multivariable modeling, and longitudinal data analysis; and excellent communication skills. Preferred: experience in medical devices or gene therapy.
