Role Summary

Location: Cambridge, US; Mainz, Germany. As an Associate Director of Investor Relations, you will be instrumental in shaping and executing BioNTech's communication strategy for the investment community. Your contributions will help elevate investor engagement and optimize company valuation, ensuring alignment with BioNTech’s mission to improve global health through oncology innovation. You will be part of a high-performing team, collaborating with senior leaders across diverse functions to build and refine BioNTech’s equity narrative.

Responsibilities

  • Support and drive strategic initiatives to enhance communication and engagement with analysts and investors
  • Track updates and generate insights from market activity, policy updates, financial trends, competitor landscape, and shareholder concerns to fine tune function’s investor engagement approaches
  • Develop consensus estimates, shareholder assessments, and analytics approaches that shape meaningful engagements
  • Articulate the value of BioNTech’s oncology assets, technology platforms, and long-term growth potential through compelling equity narratives
  • Inform a high-impact IR event calendar, including roadshows, investor and medical conferences, IR company events and quarterly updates
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with leaders across R&D, medical, finance, corporate communications, commercial teams, legal teams, and policy experts
  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory and industry standards in all communications and internal and external engagements

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor's degree with 6+ years of relevant professional experience; could include investor relations, corporate communications, corporate development, competitive intelligence, financial/business analytics/consulting, equity research or similar roles within biopharmaceutical space
  • Required: Strong quantitative expertise, including knowledge of business/financial modeling, financial reporting, or valuation techniques to empower IR's ability to analyze and generate insights from broker and market data
  • Required: Exceptional written/verbal communication skills for presenting complex topics clearly and concisely in various settings. Thrives in fast-paced working environments with ability to advance multiple projects simultaneously to tight deadlines
  • Required: Meticulous attention to detail, and ability to independently deliver high-quality, accurate content and documents
  • Required: Collaborative team player with proven ability to build strong relationships across functions and organizational levels
  • Preferred: Advanced academic credentials (MBA or Masters Degree) and biopharmaceutical oncology experience
