Role Summary
This role fuses operational and commercial leadership to drive projects, strategic initiatives, and the execution of business objectives for Eye Care globally. The position is accountable for overseeing innovation, market expansion, and operational excellence, managing cross-functional teams, and supporting the General Manager in strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage Eye Care projects and programs, including product innovation, market renovations, and process improvements.
- Enable market expansion through effective project management and implementation of change management processes.
- Develop and coordinate project plans, schedules, resource assignments, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Drive cost improvement, SKU rationalization, packaging enhancements, and operational simplification.
- Identify resource needs and prioritize operational tasks across the project portfolio.
- Coordinate cost analysis, material readiness, capital requests, and product scale-up efforts.
- Track project progress, assign tasks, identify risks, and implement contingency plans.
- Benchmark competition for productivity and technology strategies within the industry.
- Ensure alignment among cross-functional teams on operational milestones and resource allocations.
- Lead the coordination for market expansion through a cross-functional working group.
- Support the General Manager in strategic planning and prioritization of business strategies.
- Oversee Eye Care governance, budgeting, and performance management.
- Drive external communication for the Eye Care franchise and its commitments.
- Collect, synthesize, and communicate market and business information to inform strategic direction.
- Prepare and deliver executive presentations, business updates, and summaries of strategic initiatives.
- Oversee project governance, facilitate stage-gate reviews, and ensure commercial leadership alignment.
- Foster effective communication with stakeholders and alignment on commercial objectives.
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelor's degree.
- Preferred: Advanced degree.
- Preferred: Project Management Certification.
- Required: 8+ yearsβ experience in pharmaceutical/healthcare operations, supply chain, product development, or commercial roles.
- Required: Demonstrated leadership, communication, and project management skills with cross-functional and international teams.
- Required: Experience in strategic planning, change management, cost improvement, and market expansion.
